Today my son tried eggs. Last night he let us (mostly) sleep.

Specifically the yolk of a hard-boiled egg. The end result is that he actually sort of likes it if mixed in with his garden vegetables baby food. By itself? Not so much. He basically just smushed the rest of it all over his tray and made faces every time it reached his mouth.

Waiting to see if he has any reaction. No history of egg allergy in our families, but you never know sometimes. Yesterday, he was introduced to Cheerios as a snack food. He sort of liked them only after they were mushy.

For the first time in a week, he only woke up 4 times last night rather than 11 or 12. So that’s a plus. We started wrapping him in a blanket my mum made for herself but we sort of co-opted after my son fell in love with it at 4 months. He’s 8 and 1/2 months now, and suffering from separation issues. He has to constantly hear at least one of our voices (preferably his dad) and know where we are at all times. Otherwise he becomes an utter screaming mess.

It’s tiring, but sooo worth it!
